Phase 1
Like my good friend Chip Gaines says; ) I get totally GEEKED OUT for big transformations and this 2 phase project definitely delivered on that. About a year ago, this family came to us after purchasing their tudor-style lake home. The bones were great but the interior was too dark and dated for a family who has great taste for design and color. They decided to tackle the closet first so they could live out of it while the kitchen renovations were being done, however the current master closet was too small. Fortunately for them, the study adjacent to their bedroom would transform perfectly into their new walk-in closet. Fast forward a couple months and they now have the closet of everyone’s dreams! From our gorgeous custom cabinetry and barn door, bronze fixtures and quartz counter tops, washer and dryer, coffee bar and sink…to the island with shoe storage and drawers for all their accessories, and lots of his and hers hanging; this couple has the most beautiful and functional closet we have done to date!
Phase 2
This next phase would prove a bit more challenging since the wall between the kitchen and living room needed to come down and they would be borrowing some un-needed space in the garage to add a walk- in pantry. But where there is will, there’s a way! The walls came down, I-beams went up and large new windows were installed to create the open concept needed to help this family design the kitchen of their dreams. The transformation is quite breathtaking! They’ve got it all….Schmidt Custom Cabinetry designed with loads of functional storage, hidden walk-in pantry, double under-the-counter ovens, induction cook top, prep sink, beverage fridge, hands free trash system, a gorgeous island with quartz countertops, a barn door leading to their mud room with a custom bench and cabinetry…we even made their lab Sammy, a dog bowl with food storage underneath to match their cabinetry. We had a great time on this project and couldn’t be happier for this family. We know there will be wonderful memories made with family and friends in their new kitchen for many years to come.
